KDPO has been an enthusiastic cheerleader for what is rightly described as “the world’s most beautiful butcher” since Victor Churchill opened in Melbourne in 2021. So we were counting down the days to their first birthday in November last year, and were on hand to help blow out the candles on the cake.
As you probably know by now, Victor Churchill is no ordinary butcher. The Armadale shop is a glamorous temple of gastronomy, so it was only right that the celebrations lasted a week and lavished VC’s congregation of devoted customers with complimentary canapés, cake and champagne.
It was important to get the message out about the largesse, so we got busy crafting a press release that received excellent coverage across a broad range of publications, including Broadsheet, Urban List, Concrete Playground, Time Out and Domain Review.
Birthday week marked its end with a luxe cocktail/birthday party featuring roaming canapés from the VC kitchen, charcuterie and seafood stations, Moet & Chandon champagne and live music by a three-piece jazz ensemble.
KDPO curated a guest list that reflected a selection of media, influencers and industry from Melbourne’s food, fashion and social circles, sent out invitations and managed the RSVPs and took care of the door and guest lists on the night.
Truly a night to remember, notable guests included Anthea Loucas-Bosha from the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Kate Reid from Lune Croissanterie, Jason Jones and Brahman Perera from Entrecôte, cookbook superstar Julia Busuttill Nishimura, chef Karen Martini and influencers Diana Chan, Kyla Kirkpatrick and Katherine Denton.
Until next year…
